The Ministry of Interior has unveiled an extensive recruitment drive for various security services, set to commence on Monday, July 8, 2024. This initiative aims to address the backlog of previous applicants and bolster the nation’s security apparatus.
In an official statement, the Ministry disclosed that 11,000 new personnel will be enlisted across multiple security agencies. The allocation includes 3,000 recruits for the Ghana Immigration Service, 4,000 for the Ghana Police Service, 2,000 for the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), 500 for the Narcotics Control Commission, and 1,500 for the Prisons Service.
This recruitment campaign is a significant component of the government’s strategy to enhance the operational capacity of security services, aiming to maintain law and order, combat crime effectively, and ensure public safety.
Eligible candidates are encouraged to submit their applications through the prescribed channels, as the Ministry emphasizes a recruitment process that will be transparent and based on merit, strictly adhering to established protocols.
The government has reassured the public that the recruits will receive comprehensive training and be well-equipped to perform their duties efficiently.
